Your privacy matters. Here's how Gym Date protects your data.
Last updated: April 13, 2026
Gym Date is built on a simple principle: your fitness data belongs to you. We've designed our app to work entirely on your device, without requiring accounts, cloud storage, or data collection. We believe this is how fitness apps should work.
Gym Date stores all your data locally on your device. This includes:
Your detailed workout data stays on your device. We do not have access to it, cannot see it, and do not transmit it anywhere — with one specific exception: when you generate a Training Block Report, we send aggregated metrics (never raw workout logs or HealthKit samples) to Anthropic's Claude AI service. See the Anthropic (Claude AI) section below for exactly what is and isn't sent.
Gym Date does not collect:
When you complete 12 workouts since your last Training Block Report, Gym Date sends a small set of aggregated training metrics to Anthropic's Claude AI service to generate a narrative analysis of that block. The generated narrative is returned to your device and stored locally.
What is sent:
What is NOT sent:
Anthropic does not use data sent via their API to train models. Anthropic's handling of this data is governed by their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. The Training Block Report feature activates automatically after 12 sessions — if you prefer not to generate reports, simply do not train long enough to trigger one.
If you choose to enable calendar integration, Gym Date uses Apple's EventKit framework to create and manage workout events in your iOS calendar. This data is handled entirely by Apple's system and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your calendar data beyond what the app creates.
If you choose to enable HealthKit integration, Gym Date can write workout data to Apple Health. This is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission. HealthKit data is handled by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We only write data to HealthKit; we do not read data from it.
Gym Date is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain data related to app downloads and usage as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to individual user data from the App Store.
Because your data is stored only on your device:
Gym Date is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you are under 13, please do not use this app.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data:
We cannot delete your data because we don't have access to it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
Gym Date is available worldwide. Because we do not collect or transmit any personal data, there are no international data transfer concerns. Your data remains on your device regardless of where you are located.
Because we don't collect your data, traditional data rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are exercised directly through your device. You have complete control over your data at all times.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our practices, please contact us:
In plain language: We don't collect your data. Your detailed workouts stay on your device. The only data that ever leaves is a small set of aggregated metrics sent to Anthropic when you generate a Training Block Report (after every 12 sessions) — never your name, raw workouts, or HealthKit samples. That's how we think fitness apps should work.
